Some books just sputter out for me, or else I find that I've not read for a week because I'm reluctant to. Overall, TLN reminded me of the kind of books that I'd read and enjoy when I was a teenager, and that can only be a good thing.įor me, the sign of an engaging story is that I finish reading it within a decent time frame. I've reviewed Kristen's book in this sense, so if you read my reviews because I write grimdark adult stuff then that needs to be born in mind. ![]() It's fair to say that YA isn't what I usually read, but neither am I a complete stranger to it. It's important to read a book with the target audience that the author intended in mind.
